Garlic gratin cured ham with prawns. The mild taste of prawns makes them a perfect match with cured ham. This dish is excellent as a starter or as a small evening dish on a Friday night.

  • 100 g spekeskinke
  • 300 g crème fraîche 35 %
  • 1 ss sitronsaft
  • 1 ss hakket frisk dill
  • 2 båter finhakket hvitløk
  • 1 stk. finhakket vårløk
  • 300 g pillede reker
  • 0,25 ts pepper
  • 100 g revet ost, prøv gjerne en smaksrik ost om du har det tilgjengelig.

Here’s how to make garlic gratin cured ham with prawns

  1. Preheat the oven to 220 °C, use a grill element if you have one.
  2. Combine all ingredients except shrimp and cheese in a small saucepan and heat to boiling point, stirring continuously.
  3. Distribute the prawns in suitably large fireproof forms (6 pcs) and pour the hot ingredients over the prawns. Sprinkle with grated cheese on top.
  4. Place the forms on a baking tray and put the tray in the oven on high. If you use a grill element, it is important that you keep an eye on the oven at all times, so that the cheese does not burn.
  5. Take the molds out of the oven when the cheese has melted and has acquired a nice golden colour.
  6. Serve with toasted bread and your favorite salad.
